Lunch and a Movie: Gremlins (1984)

Lunch and a Movie: Gremlins (1984) In-Person

Bring your lunch (beverages provided) and enjoy three great holiday movies that are celebrating anniversaries this year—with some bonus holiday shorts into the bargain! If you’d like some scares and some tongue-in-cheek humor with your holiday cheer, you couldn’t do better than this hit movie which is turning forty years old this year, described by some as “E.T. meets The Thing by way of It’s A Wonderful Life.”  In the idyllic little town of Kingston Falls, young Billy Peltzer (Zach Galligan) receives an unusual Christmas gift from his father—an adorable creature called a Mogwai, which he names Gizmo. Three rules come with a Mogwai...keep them out of bright light, never get them wet, and above all, never feed them after midnight. When Billy accidentally breaks these rules, he unleashes a horde of mischievous Gremlins on the town. Can he and Gizmo stop them before they multiply further? (Rated PG-13 for some violence.) No signups required. Popcorn generously donated by Regal Cinemas.
