Lunch and a Movie: Wonder (2017)

Lunch and a Movie: Wonder (2017) In-Person

Kindness, openness, and acceptance of all...those are perfect sentiments to start off the new year, and the two films based on R.J. Palacio’s Wonder novels showcase these sentiments perfectly. The first of the two introduces us to Auggie Pullman, who has Treacher-Collins syndrome, a rare condition that causes facial deformities. Homeschooled for most of his life, he starts fifth grade at a private middle school. There, he navigates the problems caused by his condition, while his older sister does the same. With the love of his family and the support of his teacher, Auggie slowly begins to fit in, and those around them are forced to confront their own prejudices. Bring your lunch (beverages provided). No signups required. Popcorn generously provided by Regal Cinemas.
