Four years after the previous shark crisis, a new hotel opens on Amity Island...but evidence shows up that another great white is menacing the nearby waters. When Chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) tries to bring this up to the town council, they vote him out, despite Mayor Vaughan's support. But this shark may be even more dangerous than the last one...and Martin's own sons end up in the creature's path.
